Built from lived experience and a career closing the last mile in maternal and community health.
Mubarakat has spent her career designing and delivering maternal, child, public, and community-health programs for underserved and hard-to-reach populations — translating funded programs and intended benefits into services people actually receive, use, and benefit from.
Her work has involved frontline delivery, community-based health programs, implementation, utilization, monitoring, follow-through, and improving programs when intended populations were not being reached.
She also experienced the postpartum access challenge personally as a mother — seeing firsthand that coverage and available resources do not remove the work required to understand and access the right support.
She led implementation of a World Bank-funded maternal and child nutrition program.
